About me

Hi, I am Leanne! I am excited about the environment and the arts, and dream of making fun physical and virtual experiences that inspire people to question what they know about the environment and take climate action.

My interest in game design began in my final year at Yale-NUS College, where I majored in Environmental Studies. For my Capstone project, I wanted to design an experience that would make people think about the impacts of renewable energy developments and discover their own priorities, rather than tell them what was the “best” way forward. This led to the creation of my first interactive online game, The Renewable Energy Escapade. After graduating, I further honed my skills as a Game Designer while working at Sqkii, learning and applying the concepts of gamification to achieve the goals of clients.

In addition to my strong foundation in the environmental sciences and humanities, I also have experience in research. I am currently a Research Assistant at the Resilient and Inclusive Cities Lab, at the Asian School of the Environment (Nanyang Technological University). My work centres around investigating and modelling the ecosystem services provided by the nature around us.

I hope to use my diverse skillset to contribute to upcoming projects that sit in the unique intersection between games and the environment. Please drop me a message if you would be interested in working with me!
